Hi,

 

I have just setu up the printer, HP Smart Tank 580 and it works all right but it is beeping all the time no matter what I do.. 

I've tried to hard reset, but it just did not stop beeping. 

 

What should I do.

I understand your HP Smart Tank 580 is continuously beeping despite a hard reset, it could be due to a few possible reasons. 

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot:
 

Check for Error Messages: Look at the printer’s display or any accompanying software for error messages or codes. These can provide clues about the issue.

Ensure Proper Setup: Double-check that all setup steps were completed correctly:

  • Verify that the ink tanks are properly filled and installed.
  • Make sure that all paper trays and covers are closed securely.

Check for Paper Jams: Even if you don’t see an obvious jam, there could be small pieces of paper or foreign objects inside the printer. Open all compartments and gently inspect for any obstructions.

Examine Ink Cartridges: Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and not damaged. Sometimes the beeping can be related to issues with the cartridges.

Firmware Update: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Go to the HP support website or use the HP Smart app to check for any available updates. Update the firmware on an HP printer

Printer Diagnostics: Use the HP Smart app or the printer’s built-in diagnostics (if available) to run any troubleshooting tests.

Reconnect and Reset: Try unplugging the printer from the power source for a few minutes, then plug it back in and see if the beeping stops.
