For years, I've been able to make flyers with a 1/4 inch margin on all four sides that printed beautifully on the 8600. Now, all of a sudden, the bottom is cut off, no matter what adjustments I make to the document. I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, but nothing is working. I did a hard reset. Any suggestions?

Hello, @donamadrina
After deleting the AirPrint, was the issue fixed?
Also, can you make a good photocopy on the machine? Place a document face down on the scanner glass and press the copy option on the printer control panel. Let me know if it makes a good copy or not.
If the copy is working well, then the printer hardware is fine and the issue is with the printer settings on MAC. Try to delete the printer from the "System Preference" window. Click the "-" to delete the printer.
Once deleted, click the "+" to add the printer as suggested in my previous message.
Thanks, I'll watch for your reply!

Hello, @donamadrina – Hope you are well 🙂
Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a fantastic location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!
I see that you are facing issues while printing with your Officejet machine. Please try the steps listed below to try and fix the issue:
- Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
- Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.
- Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”.
- Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.
- Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.
- Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list
- Restart your computer and then go back to System preferences – Printers and scanners.
- Click the “Add button” (+).
- Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer. Do not select an HP Fax driver.
- Click “Print Using...” or “Use”, and then select Secure AirPrint or AirPrint. Alternatively, you may select the name of your printer if available in that list.
That should help. Let me know!
Cheers 🙂

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my query.
I already uninstalled the printer and reinstalled. And I updated the firmware. I have other printers listed in my System Preferences, so resetting is not a viable option at this time.
Also, I thought I read somewhere that I did not want 'air print.' So I deleted that. I don't really know what air print is, but I read that somewhere. It just showed up recently. Maybe that's why the problem started because I deleted it. Hmmm.

I truly appreciate your persistence in trying to help me.
After I deleted airprint, the problems I was having with the printer trying to 'connect' were solved. Thank goodness! I would wait forever sometimes.
I can photocopy just fine. So that tells me that the problem is not with the printer, as you suggested.
Simultaneously, while seeking help here, I also submitted a work ticket to Print Shop for Mac. They helped me find a workaround so that my flyers now print with the margins I want. I have to play around a bit, but I eventually get what I am seeking. So, I think you are correct, there are problems somewhere with my Mac settings.
So thank you for trying to help me.
I don't see "accepted as solution" to click.
