HP Recommended

Hello, I just got an HP OfficeJet Pro 8020e series from a garage sale today and am worried I may have gotten screwed over. It looks like they registered for an Instant Ink subscription and their account information is still connected to the printer. It won’t let me print anything without the subscription and and I can’t figure out how to remove their account info to add my own. Any suggestions?

@Jgoots, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Reset the Printer to Factory Settings

This will clear out the previous account info and reset all configurations.

Refer to this guide to factory default the printer: factory default hp printer - Google Search

Use the Printer Without Instant Ink

If the printer still asks for an Instant Ink account after resetting it, you can buy genuine regular ink cartridges. In that case, you can just ignore the Instant Ink prompts and start printing normally.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
