I bought an unused, in box, HP9015 all in one printer but it was missing the starter ink. Without the starter ink it wouldn’t let me connect to the internet and without it being on Wi-Fi it won’t let me sign up for instant ink… I called tech support and they said to buy new ink and get it on Wi-Fi to sign up so I ordered ink FROM HP and after I put it in it says “insert the starter ink that came with your printer” 😣 I am at my wits end. This is so frustrating. Please help if you have any ideas to get it on Wi-Fi 🫣

Hi @MamaCG

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand you are getting a use setup cartridge error message on your HP printer.

Not to worry; I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

We need to perform a semi-full reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer, and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions. Follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialise the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile name, or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
