Hi @SuiM,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Installing a used HP ENVY 5055 All-In-One Printer involves a few steps. Here's a general guide to help you set it up.
Unpack the Printer:
- Ensure all components are present, including the printer, power cord, ink cartridges, and any other accessories.
Power Up:
- Connect the power cord to the printer and plug it into a power source.
- Turn on the printer by pressing the power button.
Install Ink Cartridges:
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Insert the ink cartridges into their corresponding slots. Follow the color-coded labels for correct placement.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
Load Paper:
- Adjust the paper width guides in the input tray to fit the paper size.
- Load plain paper into the input tray.
Connect to a Computer:
- You can connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable or set it up wirelessly.
- For a USB connection, use a USB cable to connect the printer to your computer. The necessary drivers should automatically be installed. If not, you may need to download them from the HP website.
- For a wireless connection, use the printer's control panel to navigate to the Wireless or Network settings. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
Install Printer Software:
- Visit the official HP website (hp.com) and navigate to the "Support" or "Drivers" section.
- Enter your printer model (HP ENVY 5055) and select your operating system.
- Download the latest printer software and follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
Test Print:
- After installation, print a test page to ensure that the printer is functioning correctly.
Update Firmware (Optional):
- Check for firmware updates on the HP website. If available, download and install them to ensure your printer has the latest features and improvements.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
