Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just bought a new printer, Ink Advantage 6475, and find the support videos very inadequate.  The bulk document feeder on top:  if I put in a two-sided document, will the machine copy both sides onto one sheet of paper?  Will it do it automatically, or do I have to give it some instruction?

Hi @Brontosaurus1

Checking on the printer specifications for DeskJet Plus Ink Advantage 6475 shows the next options:

Scan specifications for Deskjet 6475

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06624954#AbT16

Scan technology
CIS
Scan speed (normal)
Up to 7 ipm (b&w), 3 ipm (color)
Levels of grayscale
256
Bit depth
24-bit
Scanning options (ADF)
Single-Pass

That means that this printer model Deskjet 6475 has a Single Pass ADF,

so when you put a two sided document you need to turn it manually to scan the other side.

Please follow the steps from the next video to make a Two sided Copy or Scan.

Hi, FerRX

Thank you for your reply, which answered my question, but left me disappointed with the printer.  It seems that to copy a bunch of 2-sided pages, you have to turn everything around by hand, and then put the pages back in order.  So, basically, it doesn't do 2-sided printing at all,  just 1-sided printing twice.

And yet, when I start the Print procedure from my computer, in the list of choices that I get before I actually press "Print", (things like Print Quality and Grayscale), there is the option of "Print on both sides", and when I click on it it gives me a menu of "none", "flip on long edge", or "flip on short edge".  What's that all about, if the only way to print on both sides is to manually turn the paper over?

Thanks
