Hello,

 

I just recently got myself this printer second hand. I started to set this printer up but cant move forward with the process because I'm stuck on the "Use SETUP Cartridges" screen on the printer. I have new ink cartridges in the printer.

 

Is there a way to bypass this?

The only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Please help, I’m setting up my daughters ENVY 5055 printer for the first time with one tricolor startup cartridge and one new HP black cartridge. I did a single initialize setup and  printed a test page with tricolor setup cartridge. However, it will not bypass the “use setup cartridge” message. 

she needs to print several documents today and returning it to the retailer is not an option as it is 200 miles away. Please send me the instructions ASAP. This has become urgent and I’ve already spent several hours problem shooting.
