HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I got this printer from my friend , she never used it and the set up cartridges were not there. I bought HP 64 cartridge today and tried to set up the printer.

Error is : Use SETUP cartridges.

Saw YOUtube and as per it there should be a option of TRADEOBO but i couldn't find it.

What i tried:

1. Support menu

2. System Configuration Menu

3. there is no option like TRADE00 (there are only two options : Hardware Failure status and Set boot mode to user mode..

I didn't selected any.

Kindly help

Hi @ABHAB,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you want to bypass setup cartridge HP envy photo 7855. I'd like to help!

Please follow the steps below.

Touch the Home button once, then the Back button twice, then the Home button once.

Option#1 is Back & Option#2 is Home in the above picture.

NOTE: Envy Photo 7000 control panel buttons are not backlit, so they may not be visible.

  1. Open the ink cartridge access door, and then close it. A Load Paper message displays on the control panel display, and the printer begins initializing.
  2. If the initialization does not begin, repeat steps 1 and 2 until it does.
  3. Follow the prompts on the control panel display to complete initialization.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
