HP OfficeJet 7110 Wide Format ePrinter - H812a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For all the people that own an HP Officejet 7110 and have downloaded a firmware update and gotten a blinking light every 2 hours. I have the complete solution to make it stop. So, since we all suffered from this problem, there is a way where we can delete the firmware and redownload it. The 2021 firmware update A.K.A (HP Officejet 7110 series Full Feature Software and Drivers) includes an auto-close option where it "saves" energy for us but gives us a big pain in the butt every 2 hours. I have gotten the same problem and not only had to search for days, but for weeks to find the solution.

So, here is what you need to do:

Deleting the full driver firmware update: On Windows 10 64bit, Search Control panel - Program - Delete a program - Search "Hewlett-Packard Co". Delete "Basic software for the HP 7110",  "HP Officejet 7110 help", "Product improvement guide", and "HP update".

Redownloading the firmware: The first thing you need to do is, download "HP support assistant" and make sure that you're logged in. When you've done that, you're gonna have to press updates on the printer and the program will find you the firmware update you had recently deleted. Redownload the firmware and in the downloading process, you're gonna have to find the auto-close option where there is an option for every 2, 4, 8  hours, and off. The option you're choosing is off. The 2 hours option and others are causing the printer to continue blinking and forcing you to press the power button. You have to also download the other programs that were deleted which is with the HP Officejet 7110 full downloading process. When you're done with the entire downloading process, you officially have the freedom of not being forced to press the power button every 2 hours.

NOTE: I can not guarantee that this will work for you but worked for me. This subject does not include any links due to mistrust and want to make sure that everybody feels safe during this process. Have a nice day! 🙂
