I need to connect printer to the internet with a Ethernet cable? Can anyone tell me which cable to get?

Any CAT5 or CAT6 will work.
Make sure your printer is set for "wired network" and not Wi-Fi or USB.
You did not mention your printer model. If your printer has a report function, then print a report that shows the network information. The IP subnet should match the same subnet your computer is on
for example: 192.168.1.5 for laptop and 192.168.1.33 for printer.
