Product: HP ENVY 4527 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is it still possible to get a simple windows driver for the Envy 4527? No - not HP Smart!!

HP Smart fails to find the printer, it searches and never give me the option to manually enter the IP. Wireless is fine (printer web page is accessible from a browser).

Ah - I found the Basic driver (labelled as "IT Use only" on the support page) so I'm printing at least 🙂

..and i've just checked that the scanner works through Windows Fax and Scan. Perfect.

Are there any implications to my Instant Ink account if I use the basic driver? Will the ink level still be visible to the ordering system?
