HP OfficeJet 8015e All-in-One Printer

hello,

I originally purchased my printer for basic home office use but have since started a custom tshirt company offerings custom business cards and party stationary and decor. Am I able to print business cards and invitations etc on glossy cardstock with my officejet 8015e? If so, how? What are the best products to use?

@TexasTshirts903,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Your HP OfficeJet Pro 8015e can handle printing on card stock and glossy paper, but there are some limitations to be aware of.

Can You Print Business Cards and Invitations?

Yes, you can print business cards, invitations, and other stationery, but:

The printer supports cardstock up to 110 lb (199 g/m²).
It can print on glossy paper, but some glossy finishes might cause smudging.
Double-sided (duplex) printing might not work well on thick paper.

Best Paper for Business Cards & Invitations

For business cards:

  • HP Premium Plus Glossy Cardstock (up to 80 lb)
  • Neenah 65 lb or 110 lb cardstock (test it first for compatibility)

For invitations & stationery:

  • HP Brochure Paper (Glossy or Matte, 52-80 lb)
  • Avery Printable Business Card Sheets (Ensure they are inkjet-compatible)

How to Print on Glossy Cardstock

Load the paper

  • Load one sheet at a time (especially for thick cardstock).
  • Place glossy side facing down in the input tray.
  • Adjust the paper guides to prevent skewing.

Change Print Settings

  • On your PC, go to Print Settings.
  • Select Media Type → Glossy Cardstock or Heavyweight Paper.
  • Set Print Quality to Best.
  • Turn off duplex printing for thick cardstock.

Let the Ink Dry

  • Avoid touching the print immediately—let it dry for at least 10 minutes.
  • If smudging occurs, try matte cardstock instead of glossy.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
