Hi just updated my laptop but cant load up software for my HP printer (Photosmart 2575 all in one). Subsequently found its no longer supported by HP but still works on old laptop . Is this a hopeless case. Rarely use a printer so reluctant to replace a perfectly good piece of equipment. Any thoughts

Welcome to the HP User Community.
The printer series is retired as HP defines the meaning of the term.
Is your HP Product “vintage? (Ten years of age or older)
Typically, HP stops supporting consumer products after ten years. Read the policy and find out if your HP device is on the list. “EOL”
Select Printers
then...
1 Narrow your selection: Photosmart
HP Photosmart 2570 All-in-One Printer series - Retired Products
The following products have been retired and are no longer supported by HP. All official HP support content for these products has been removed from this web site.
- HP Photosmart 2575a All-in-One Printer
- HP Photosmart 2575 All-in-One Printer
- HP Photosmart 2573 All-in-One Printer
- HP Photosmart 2575xi All-in-One Printer
- HP Photosmart 2575v All-in-One Printer
In my opinion - which, by the way, is worth no more than the space it takes to type the words...
It is time to retire the hardware, especially if you don't use it very often.
Unsupported printer is not worth the cost of possibly hard-to-find ink.

Hi thanks for the response, begrudgingly I think I have to agree with you. It seems crazy that a printer which has no need for internet conectivity but is perfectly good needs to be retired because a company wants to sell you a new product, particularly in this day and age where we should be more environmentally friendly and not a throw away society. Thanks again.
All the best Spow
