Hi,
I purchased a new HP Color LaserJet Pro M454dw from an online store overseas. I just received the printer today and discovered that the power cords were not US cords and the printer cartridges were for oversee use only. The webpage had no indication that it wouldn't work in the US or that it could only be used in a specific region. Is there anything I can do to make it work here in the US? I just want to print from my laptop.
Thank you.

The simple and safest answer is NO. Most overseas laser products are 220V devices and the sticker on the back should state that. While you could use a step down transformer, you need to make sure it is big enough to handle the peak current draw of a laser printer which can be over 10 amps. Changing components is not an option because it will cost you more than the printer. YOu will also run into issues with cartridges as they are region coded as well and after one of your initial supplies is exhausted you will need to replace them all at once and get your printer region updated, which requires contact HP Technical Support.
