I have an OfficeJetPro8710 and it has stopped scanning correctly woith the latest Mac update to 26.5 (Tahoe). Is there a new driver that will enable it to work with the Apple silicon chip?

Thanks

Cliff

My problem is now solved.....I saw a YouTube item which mentioned the problem, and the solution was to download a new app from the App Store called "HP Print and support" and that enabled my printer to work with Tahoe (which uses the Apple silicon chip).

Thanks

Hello @CliffWragg, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Officejet Pro 8710.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

1. Could you please try scanning and printing using another device other than the Mac or any mobile phone?
2. Could you please try scanning with HP Easy Scan / HP Easy Start from 123.hp.com.

3. If that does not work, try Apple Image Capture or Preview.

4. Make sure eSCL is enabled if your printer uses AirPrint-based scanning.

5. Also please try the HP app for scanning.

Take care and have an amazing day!
