Can finally make 4x6 photo, but now Word documents come out blank

We have an HP Pavilion Elite computer connected to a HP Envy Photo 7858 printer, that I want to toss into the backyard. My husband finally figured out how to use the Printer App to make 4x6 photos. Now, Word documents print blank. I'm sure it is a setting somewhere, but we can't find it. All of the troubleshooting options come back fine and the virtual assistant just keeps asking me to repeat the question. No problems like this with our previous HP printer. Help, please.

I understand when you print from the printer the printer is printing blank pages.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Does the issue persist when you make a copy from the printer?

Have you tried printing from a different application?

Have you tried printing using a different ink cartridge?

Update the printer firmware and check if it helps.

Replace low, empty or faulty ink cartridges on your printer.

If the copy works fine uninstall the printer software from the root level on your PC and install the full feature printer software.

In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features. 
Select your HP printer. 
Select Uninstall. 
In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers. 
In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.” 
Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo. 
Type printui.exe /s and click OK. 
Click on Drivers tab. 
Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom. 
Select OK. 
Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows. 
Close Devices and Printers.
