I can no longer use the HP Easy Scan app that I have always used. Can this be fixed? Using Mac OS 15

The issue you're facing is likely due to macOS 15 no longer supporting HP Easy Scan. Apple updates can sometimes cause compatibility issues with older applications.

 

Not to worry! Here are a few things you can try:

Use Apple's Built-in Scanner Tool

Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners

Select your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw

Click Scan > Open Scanner and check if it works

 

Try HP Smart App

HP Smart is the latest app for printing and scanning with HP devices

You can download it from the Mac App Store here

Once installed, add your printer and test scanning

 

Check for HP Software Updates

Visit the HP Support website and enter your printer model

Download any available updates for macOS 15
