HP Deskjet 3054A
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I've been using OS 10.13.6 for a few years now and it was working perfectly fine with my Deskjet 3054A printer. But then all of a sudden I couldn't print anything anymore. I saw the printer icon momentarily appear in the sidebar per usual when printing is activated, but then it disappeared. Weird. I checked my apps and noticed the HP driver was no longer there. This is so bizarre. I did not delete it. I've been trying to download the driver for this printer for a few days now and all I'm finding is that this printer is not compatible with OS 10.13. Why did this happen all of a sudden and is there a workaround, some way to download the driver that could make this combo work?

Hi FerRX. Thanks for your reply. I was given the "successfully installed" message with a green check mark after going through the installation process. However, I can't locate the printer app on my computer, nothing shows up when I search for it in Finder and nothing happens when I try to print.  Is there something else I should try? Is it possible it won't install because it's not compatible with OS 10.13? I just can't understand why it worked so well for so long and then just stopped (and the app just vanished). I'd appreciate your thoughts...
