I get the cannot open output file when installing printer software on PC. The previous thread involving temp, and looking for a folder starting "7z...." and containing a folder called Util did not work. - >1 starting 7z..., and NONE contained folder Util. Searches in that folder yielded no results...
New printer, and cannot use it...

Welcome to the HP support community.
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Download and install printer full feature driver
Click here to download the driver
I hope that helps.

All went fine till I reached the HP color laserjet 3000x64 driver in printui...
It says it is in use, and cannot be deleted. I have no such in the building, was an old one. The driver deleted ok in Devices and printers. I had to reboot once to get rid of it from there, but now no luck.
Any suggestions?

This might require remote access of the computer to fix the issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
I hope that helps.

Thank you Sandyteck20. I will try it.
just fyi - ...when I can fit it in. I am so exhausted with things that go wrong when they "shouldn't", I am swimming on high/low waves, trying to keep afloat and keep a farm by inventing wonderful options where it seems impossilbe.
Computers seem to be shutting down on me. YEARS of mastery, based on skills, are being trashed by "upgrades" and "dumb-downs" and "obselence" (code for "f-'em, WE got a way we want things to happen, just cancel them if they are not using the latest".... WHY? [Please note, Sandy - this is not aimed at you personally. I am just taking a chance, in desperation for a shift, to just - ..communicate.]
(back to The WHY? mentioned above: -that) WHY?....That is some question, or rather the answer is. Is it possible that in the race to "stay ahead" (through what I call "Big-ism" (= cheeapen-ing things, in all ways relevant to cheapening them, in order to surmount them as if they are small, YOUR resource to be done with as you please, and dismissed when a new "advance " comes along, that requires entirely chucking out the old in order to grab the benefit of some "New"..., Surely power (true power) is confused with "Force, stength, hardness, weight, mass, matter, explosive (destructive) force, or ability to manipulate - especially machinations of politics"..
True power (see what you think...? ) - surely, would be effortless, mriaculously perfect, natural and appropriate and all-changing so beautifully, gently, and softly, breathlessly softly. Take your breath away wonderfully amazing.... feeling. Yet mOST steadying, yet liberating...flying in delight. Natural. Easy. Beautiful. Loving, Delight in life. Huge gratitude for ...? something beyond the limited self you have been being. LIFE! loving, wonderful aliveness. Thank you... just comes out. Gratitude. Thank you.
That is what I would rather life be about than silos of thinking and manipulation, that get in the way of doing thins real straight simple - they work.
So can you fix what has happened/is happening in my PC world? Take this on with some humility if you will, because it seems one those things hard to get done, hard to believe (almost now, after holding out a long time) they are worth doing, or matter... To whom?
Back to true power . A healing complete turnaround in useable functionality, that respects (note Love) skills long-used, if necessary at least picking them up, noticing them, valueing them and addressing them. How? -for example if a shift is needed, then provide the bridge old to new - directedly; directed at those skill being noticed, because people have been listened to, in their 'asks' of the supportl, and so those skills are picked up and addressed,
I wouldn't blame you if you didn't take this ( what has happened/is happening in my PC world?) any further. Sandyteck20. For the same reason perhaps, I am just saying I might not get round to finishing this side-issue failure for me. And Thank you for giving me a nother step to take... lol. LoL. 🙂 🙂
yes, really 🙂
What, huh? Lol
