Envy 7640 on HP Pavilion
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm on Day 3! of trying to figure this out.

I am unable to print from my HP Pavilion computer (running on Windows 10 Home) to my HP Envy 7640 printer.  It is wireless.  I can print from my phone or a different computer wirelessly on the same network, but not my main computer.  Everything is updated.  All worked fine for months until this past week.  I have removed all printer files (even hidden ones another post helped me find) and reinstalled numerous times.  Nothing works from other posts I've seen either.

When trying to print from Word, I see the print job in the queue "Spooling", but then get the error message of "Word can't print due to a problem with the printer setup."

If I try to print from Notepad, I see the job come up in the queue but immediately disappear.  Nothing happens and no error message.

If I try to scan, I get "An error occurred while scanning."

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Have you tried uninstalling the drivers from root level as mentioned below?

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer

Did you install the full Feature Software after uninstall the drivers? Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-7640-e-all-in-one-printer-series/6617267/mo...

If the issue persists with the full feature Software, uninstall the driver once again from root level and reinstall the printer using the Windows Built-In driver
