Hello there! Welcome to the HP Community @Boetfaas.

I noticed your post about wanting to downgrade the firmware update on your Officejet 6700 Premium. From my understanding, there is not a way to reverse the update. If there is a certain issue you're facing with your printer, let me know the details and I will do my best to help.

Hi there,

Thanks for the interest. After i upgraded the firmware i can not use my compatible cartridges anymore. It gives me an error that says ink system failure with the compatible cartridges in.

When i swop them out with originals then the error is gone.

Hope you have an idea...

thanks

or if you know where i can find the firmware file from 2013 or 2014

thanks

Rainbow, I have the same issue - FW upgrade rejecting the third party cartridges. I can not find FW update from HP (as they published for 8610, 8620, etc.), could you please recommend a solution?
Printer: HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus.

Thanks!

Sabretooth, thanks for the response.

However, the symptoms of what happened with my 8600 match the description of the issue: one day the 3rd party cartridges work, the next day there is the error message. The cartridges 8600 uses (950 and 951) are among the affected ones.

Could it be that there is a similar problem with 8600?

HP Recommended

What is the EXACT error message?   Your 3rd party cartridge are covered by a lifetime warranty for any issue.  Might want to contact the vendor.

"One or more cartidges missing or damaged"

If there's no easy update, it's easier to buy a new one than to waste my/your time on this.
Thanks.
