I just set up new iMac, and can't seem to get "Scan to Computer" to work from the printer control panel. I installed the HP Smart app as recommended, and can scan OK through the app, but can't find where to enable Scan to Computer.
I've seen mention of using the HP Utility in the HP folder in Applications, but I have no such folder or HP Utility that I can find.
I've tried removing the HP Smart app & reinstalling it, but nothing changed.
I'd appreciate any help or suggestions,
Thank you!

Indeed, HP Easy Start would be the source to install the HP essential Software to enable Scan to Computer:
Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.
Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip
As soon as HP Easy start prompts to install HP Smart, close HP Easy Start and press the Skip to Software Download button, then follow the steps on screen to complete the installation and check for any difference.

Sorry, I don't speak MacOS - that said, there might be enough here to help.
At least with Windows, there is a "full solution printer software" option.
Maybe that is what is being referenced in the user manual where the setup is described.
?
Reference - Scan options
Page 40
Perhaps -- if you can find / select / choose / load the full driver, the option to enable scan-to-computer might become available.
Installation Package - Download / Save / Run
Again, referencing Windows (Yes, completely different),
Part way through the installation, look for an option to select and install the "Full driver" (wording varies).
Is there a full driver printer software option for MacOS and this printer?
If yes, is Scan-to-Computer setup / enable available?
If yes, where is the setup if it is disabled and there is no setup in Applications folder?
Thanks for any words of Wisdom!
