Hi,

I am really hoping someone can help me. I have an HP OfficeJet 3830 and I cannot get it to print in color. Yes, it is capable of printing in color. It printed in color when I was messing around with it one day (it has pre-installed game sheets that you can just print off from the printer itself, super cool) and that printed in color but when I try to print ANYTHING off of my laptop or phone, it is in greyscale. I looked online to see what was going on and tried to follow the instructions of...

1. Go to you printer in settings

2. Printing Preferences

3. Turn Greyscale OFF

However, there is not even an option for color. Not even in Advanced Settings. I have looked everywhere for it and even went into Microsoft Word to see if I could change it there but it's a whole lot of nothing. If anyone can tell me how to change it to color, please do. Anything is appreciated!!

Have a wonderful day!

Hi,

Try following below specific version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy (Copy1) and check for any difference.
