Each time I try to add the printer to a mac computer, it does not show up, when I add it by the ip address and choose the correct drivers, I get an error that says “ Some of the software for the printer is missing. You may have to reinstall the software to be able to successfully print.  “ Then I cannot access any of the utilities and when I try to print, I get an error message that the software for the printer is missing and to contact HP

I have tried using IPP as well as JetDirect Socket. any advice?
I have tried to use HP smart and Roam they do not see it either. If I put the address in my browser, I am able to access the printer status pages and make changes, so I am using the correct IP address. Thanks in advance.

Going to leave this  here for others. I enabled airprint and then used that protocol and it worked fine. I cannot use airprint from my devices, but happy this takes care of this problem
