HP OfficeJet Pro 7740  

Has 2 Trays

Now after printing some 3x5 pictures on Tray 1 ,....When I try to print after loading Letter size paper again in Tray 1 up pops a message that I don't have 3x5 photos in there and now I have messages that keep saying I don't have the right paper in there.    Nothing shows me how to deselect 3x5 photo paper and select letter size.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

 

Generally, opening the printer tray for a bit and then closing the tray provides a message on the printer control panel that you can "modify" to update the paper size / type.

 

If the message is not displaying, or if you dislike dealing with tiny printer control display,

Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to check / adjust / configure the Tray and Paper

EWS > HP Document / How-to

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

 

EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

Model Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes
