Can't find the HP Officejet Pro 8710 on network when try to install the printer . What I did to fix

HP Recommended
Many PC's and Laptops
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is what I did to fix the issue...

I did try all the other suggestions that have been posted but it would find the printer in one part of the instructions and in other parts it wouldn't.

I spent maybe 5 hours trying to resolve this issue and finally this worked...just sharing for others:

I did up to the part before the Install latest drivers and it worked.

Question:- I have a brand new HP Officejet Pro 8710 printer which suddenly went offline. My printer is connected to the wireless network but still, it says printer offline. When I tried to print from my other computer it prints fine but not from my laptop. I can print from my iPad and iPhone. We ran HP Scan and Doctor but nothing works. I don’t know what’s going wrong with this HP 8710 printer. Can anybody tell me why my HP Officejet pro 8710 is offline and how to fix this printer offline error?

Why does my HP Officejet Pro 8710 keeps going offline?

Answer:- Firstly, the most common reason why HP Officejet Pro 8710 printer goes offline is due to a poor connection between computer and printer. It could be due to the router firmware update, loose connection or installation of a new router. So if you want to bring your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 offline to online, please check all these factors.

  • HP Printer is OFF.
  • Printer Drivers Misconfigured.
  • Loose USB Connection.
  • Wireless Connection Problem.
  • Print Jobs Stuck.

Steps to bring HP Officejet Pro 8710 offline to Online.

  1. Re-setting the print environment.
  2. Install the latest printer Driver.
  3. Set HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 as a default printer.
