I hard reset my printer. Now when I turn it on it says I can't print without an instant ink subscription. I have one, but can't get to a step where I can connect the printer. It just takes me to the alignment page. And I can't print that because I can't connect to instant ink. Has to be some way around this. Please help.

Hi @eltoroloco,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with setting up your Printer after performing a factory reset.
If you have an option to cancel the alignment page, please go ahead and cancel it.
Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network again.
1) Uninstall the HP smart app by click on this link, Restart the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.
2) Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.
3) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.

I cannot cancel the alignment, and so I can't do ANYTHING that requires pushing buttons on the printer, e.g., setting up WIFI. I need some way to cancel the alignment and start the printer setup from scratch. I have an instankink account, but my printer can't recognize it because it can't connect to wifi because I can't get passed the alignment page. How do I bypass that?

uninstalled everything and restarted PC and removed printer form power and plugged it back in. First screen that pops up when printer turns back on says "cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP instant ink". So I can't get to wifi setup.

Hi @eltoroloco,
As the printer was set to factory defaults, you will have to use regular genuine HP cartridges to complete the alignment successfully.
Post which you can use the above shared setps to get the printer on the network once again.
