HP Envy 6000e
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Note that I'm using a mac with macOS Monterey v12.0.1

I completed setup via my phone with no problem. I now downloaded the HP Smart for Desktop app from the Apple App Store and when launching the app and selecting sign in, it just says "THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE..." and spins. I have tried re-starting my machine, delete and re-install the software but with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Please open the Apple Mac Store and select Updates.

From the top Store menu select Reload Page and be sure to install any listed update for the HP Smart app if there is any such.

If the same persists, please go to System Preferences > General and clarify what exact browser is set as your default browser.

Using macOS Monterey 12.0.1.  Downloaded HP Smart for Desktop from the App Store.  Every time I "open" the app I get "HP Smart quit unexpectedly."  Worked on my iPhone to do install of a new HP Office Jet Pro 8025e.  I need the scan capability which requires the HP Smart to work on my Mac.  I'm ready to box the printer back up and return to HP and order an Epson.  Safari is my default browser, although I'm unclear about why that should matter.
