Hi @DebbieC3,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to find the IP address of your HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the Printer Control Panel

  1. Turn on the Printer: Make sure your printer is powered on.
  2. Access the Control Panel: On the printer’s control panel, tap the Wireless icon (looks like a signal or antenna) to access the wireless menu.
  3. View Network Information:
    • Select Settings (gear icon) or Network.
    • Choose Network Status or Network Information.
    • Look for the IP Address listed in the information displayed.

Method 2: Using HP Smart App

  1. Open the HP Smart App on your computer or another device that has the printer already set up.
  2. Select your printer from the list.
  3. Tap on Printer Settings or Printer Information.
  4. You should see the IP Address listed there.

Method 3: Printing a Network Configuration Page

  1. On the printer’s control panel, press the Home button.
  2. Select Setup (gear icon).
  3. Navigate to Network and select Print Network Configuration Page.
  4. This page will print and include the printer’s IP address.

Connecting to Your iPad

Once you have the IP address, you can connect your printer to your new iPad using the following steps:

  1. Ensure Wi-Fi Connection: Make sure your iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer.
  2. Download HP Smart App: If you haven’t already, download the HP Smart app from the App Store.
  3. Open the App: Launch the HP Smart app.
  4. Add Printer:
    • Tap the + icon or Add Printer.
    • The app should automatically search for printers on the same network. If it finds your printer, tap it to connect.
  5. Manual Setup: If the printer does not appear, you may need to manually enter the IP address:
    • In the app, select Printer Setup or Manual Setup and enter the IP address when prompted.
