I should have known better, but after months of HP Support Assistant nagging me to install an updated printer driver, I accepted. It failed to install, and now the printer is invisible, though the web portal still works. I removed the printer (and scanner) via Control Panel, and tried re-installing from a downloaded driver TWICE, and it didn't work. Then I tried installing via Control Panel, and it sees the printer but won't install it.

Is it somehow not completely uninstalled? Or what? Thanks

To resolve the printing side of it I suggest that you download the current Universal Printer Driver and manually install the printer.
