Need to "Partial Clean" hard drive in newly purchased USED printer to clean out previous owner's

passwords. Step down to administrator / change password. Insert new password and screen replies

"Password Accepted", BUT  no matter what I try, screen seems to indicate that I did NOT

actually change the password. Is the previous owner's password blocking my attempts to

make changes?

If you are able to get to the preboot menu and can see the partial clean option then you do not need to reset the password. However if the previous owner put a password in this area and you cannot access the partial clean then likely you are out of luck and a formatter replacement is the only solution.

Good morning,

Thanks for the prompt reply . .

Yes, I can access the 'Partial Clean' command. However when I accept the function,

the screen just jumps back to the screen showing the Partial clean option.
