I have an HP AMD A6-Series laptop with McCafee LiveSafe installed. I am able to download and "Run" the wireless printer's driver software, but the Onscreen instructions that are supposed to appear afterwards do not appear.
I've tried disabling the Virus and Software protection part of the McCafee software (thinking it might function as a pop-up blocker) but to no avail ... please help!

Hi @scgoldman2003,
If the printer is already on the wireless network that the computer is on, the computer should be able to see the wireless printer.
Here is a support document that can help with making sure the printer is ready for the wireless installation - Wireless Printer Setup.
If the wireless printer is not being seen during the installation this document can help - Printer Not Found During Network Driver Setup (Windows).
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Hi @scgoldman2003,
Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums for a solution to this installation issue.
I understand that you have an HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer that you are trying to install on a Windows computer, but the software does not open. I would like to help.
Try downloading and running the HP Printer Installer Wizard to install the printer's software and drivers. This tool will find the most recent version of the printer's software and help with the installation.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Hi,
I tried to do what you said, but at one point it asked me to connect to the printer with a USB cable, which I have to buy. Is there a way around this -- to install and run the software without a physical connection?
Thanks,
Sheila Goldman (scgoldman2003)
