Product: HP Photosmart A637 Compact Photo Printer
Operating System: Android 8.0 Oreo and older

Until last night, my printer wouldnt connect to anything. It's not connecting with my HP Chromebook. I will not connect to my android phone. As far as I know it can only be connected over usb unless I buy a bluetooth adapter. When I connect my phone to the printer, the display screen on the printer says, unsupported device or in an unsupported mode and my computer just says charging, now this is with a usb printer cable plugged into the back of the computer. When plugged into the front usb port of the printer, the printer still has the same message but when I go to usb setting, it is my device that is controlling the connection. The first way I wrote about, the printer is the device controlling it. I have enabled debugging over usb but for some reason my phone is still not going into host mode. Any Suggestions?

Also I can't get any driver updates, firmware update. Nothing from HP, while on my chromebook or android phone.
