HI
I have used the HP2542 printer with no problem, but I had a new router, and then needed to reinstall the OS on my laptop. Since then I have not been able to use my printer. I have now managed to install various software and drivers, so that the blue 'wireless ' light is steady, but I still cannot print. There is a separate HP 2450 series network but it requires a WPA2 password that I do not have. Any clues where I would find it (mac) ?
However I would prefer to be able to use the printer through my normal network if possible. What else do I need to do?
Any help gratefully received
with best wishes

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you want WPA password. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
Find the password on the router.
Many routers from an ISP have a label on the rear or bottom that shows the wireless an initial wireless network password. The wireless network password might also be labeled as wireless key, WPA key, security password, wireless password, WPA password, WPA2 password, or WEP password.

You can also find the password from a computer connected to the wireless network.
You might be able to find the wireless network password from a computer that is connected to the wireless network. To view the network password on a Mac, open the Keychain Access application.
-
In the Finder menu bar, click Go, and then click Utilities.
-
Open the Keychain Access application.
-
In the Keychains list, click Local Items.
-
In the Category list, click Passwords.
-
Double-click the wireless network name, then click the Show password check box.
-
If prompted, type the administrator password, and then click OK.
If the Show Password check box is unavailable or you do not have the administrator password, go to the next step.
Click here and refer the document to perform the above steps.
Let me know if that helps.
Cheers.
