Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

Whenever I print I have to wait for routine maintenance. I vaguely remember being able to set a time preference for daily/weekly maintenance to uncouple it from the desired printing job. Is this a possibility?

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you want to set up the printer maintenance, I am glad to assist you.

There is no option to set up automatic maintenance.

However, refer to page number 114 of this user guide to do printer maintenance:- Click here
