I am trying to help a friend connect their new ACER Laptop to their older model HP 6700 Officejet Premium Printer but can't.

Turns out that the the wireless modem had a cable attached to it that'd come loose enough that it caused the printer to not be able to reach the server & it caused an internal bump in the printer ergo no communication. Once the cable end had been reattached and the modem moved closer to the printer/laptop, the system started working properly.
