HP Smart
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to add someone as a user in the HP Smart app so that they can use the printer that's connected to my HP account. However, when I send the invite, I receive an error saying "We couldn't send the invite to [e-mail address]." I am able to send invites to other e-mail addresses with no issue. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but the person already has their own HP account with the e-mail address that I'm trying to send the invite to (but no printer connected to that account).

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are unable to add an email address to HP connected account, I am glad to assist you.

If the email address is already added to a different account, then you might have to delete the previous account and add the email address to the new account.

Here is the HP document for your reference:- Click here

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
