HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer

This printer is a workhouse, so I won't be replacing it anytime soon.  I used to use HP Air Print when traveling to send docs to my home HP 8610 all-in-one printer without any issues, but that particular iPhone app was discontinued and replaced by HP Smart.  I cannot for the life of me find a way to print remotely to my printer when I travel using the HP Smart App.  I looked at some various instructions, but it has asked for a printer code.  When I follow the instructions on how to find the printer code for the HP 8610, I do find a "passcode", but that doesn't seem to be the code I need.

Any suggestions?  Can I not obtain the "old" Air Print app anymore?

By the way, I did have a 9010 (9015) printer that I purchased about a year ago.  It was pure "junk" and I returned it to the local computer store for a complete refund (I purchased the warranty insurance).  My sister had the same problems with her same printer and tossed it.  Just wanted you to know.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide on resolving this question.

OK, the HP 8610 Office Jet Pro All-in-one that I own is not on the list of printers that can use the Print Anywhere feature.  When I installed the HP Smart app on my iPhone,  it shows that my printer is already listed on my HP Smart iPhone app.  But when trying to follow your instructions from your link it is asking for a "claim code" that I cannot seem to locate on any of the printed docs that spit out info from my 8610 printer.

So, although I used to be able to print from anywhere to my home printer using the "old" HP app that preceded the HP Smart app, it doesn't look like that it going to be possible if I am traveling.  The only thing I had to do then is send the document to myself @hpeprint.com.  Then I would simply pickup the printed docs off of the printer once I returned to my home office.  This feature no longer "works" after I installed the "HP Smart" app.  If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

Thank you.

I tried to follow your instructions, But, I am not very good at this.  I have attached a word document with screen shots about as far as I could drill into this and then I hit all types of security warnings about the next pages I was trying to access.  So, I guess I am giving up and will live with the issue.  I can save what I want to print and print it once I return home to my home office.  Thank you.
