Cannot connect to OfficeJet Pro 8710 wirelessly with my mac

Hello at my school, I have 2 macbooks that are setup the same way.  One of them can connect wirelessly to the printer and the other one cannot.  I have been through the past posts and tried everything I can think of.   Please see the below information.

• Are the printer and Mac connected to the same network?

Yes they are

• Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz? Or, maybe connected through an extender?

Not sure

• What is the distance between the router and the printer?

8 feet

• Is there an antivirus software installed on your Mac?

Microsoft Defender

It has now worked a couple of times wireless from the macbook, but not consistently.
