Hi @Patcoach,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To help you link your HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer with your new laptop and get it to print, follow these steps.

Check Printer Connection

  • Wireless: Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop. You can check this on the printer by pressing the Wi-Fi button on the control panel.
  • USB: If you're using a USB connection, make sure the cable is properly plugged into both the printer and your laptop.

Install HP Software

  • Download and install the HP Smart app from the HP website or from the Windows Store. HP Smart will help you connect the printer to your laptop.
  • During installation, the app should detect your printer and guide you through setting it up.

Add the Printer Manually (if needed)

If HP Smart doesn’t detect your printer, try adding it manually:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners on your laptop.
  • Click Add a printer or scanner and wait for your laptop to find the printer. Once found, select it to add.

Check Printer Driver

  • Ensure that you have the latest driver installed for the HP ENVY Photo 7855. You can download the driver from HP's support page by entering your printer model.

Print a Test Page

Once the printer is connected, try printing a test page from the printer settings on your laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
