I recently allowed an HP update to my laptop (around January 10, 2021). The laptop is connected wirelessly to an HP Photosmart C4780 printer. Since the update, when I click on the HP Solution Center icon on my start screen, I get just a flash image of Solution Center dashboard that then changes to an image of a lower case (f) and a lower case (i). I can do nothing with this image, which means I have no access to the printer option such as scanning. When attempting to print wirelessly from the laptop, the printer works fine. This appears to be a software issue after this recent update. I tried a system restore to pre-date the software update, but that did not resolve the issue. I deleted all HP software from the laptop and reloaded the software, but this did not resolve the issue. I did this twice. I believe the update caused the problem and I believe the update is imbedded in the current software downloads from HP. I believe I might be able to solve the issue by downloading an older version of the printer software to my laptop, but do not know how to obtain that.  Any suggestions?

HP Solution Center is a printer management program for HP printers manufactured before 2010. HP Solution Center does not work when Flash software is not active on your system. Because Flash is no longer supported by the industry, HP Solution Center is also no longer supported.
