Hi @Vik48,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're unable to print from your MacBook to the HP LaserJet M125a, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Check Printer Connection
- Ensure the printer is powered on and properly connected to the network (if using Wi-Fi) or directly to your Mac via USB.
Restart Devices
- Restart both your printer and MacBook to refresh the connection.
Check Printer Status
- On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. Ensure that your printer is listed and does not show any error messages.
- If the printer is offline, try right-clicking on it and selecting "Reset printing system" to re-add it.
Update Printer Drivers
- Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the HP LaserJet M125a. Install them on your MacBook.
Add Printer Manually
- In System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, click the "+" button to add the printer manually.
- Select your printer from the list, and ensure it uses the correct driver.
Check Print Queue
- Open Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and check if there are any jobs in the print queue. If there are stuck jobs, clear the queue and try printing again.
Use HP Smart App
- If you haven’t already, consider downloading the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store. It can help you manage the printer and troubleshoot issues.
Reset Printing System (if needed)
- If all else fails, you can reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Control-click) on the printer list and select "Reset printing system...". This will remove all printers and reset your printing system.
After performing these steps, try printing again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
