Cannot save a scan from HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn after Mac Sierra update

I've got an HP multifunction printer/scanner/fax, and after updating my Mac to OS X Sierra, the 'HP Scan' app does not allow me to save my scans anymore. Printing seems to be working fine. Scanning does occur, but when it comes to saving whatever I scanned, the 'Save' button is greyed out. I've read somewhere else on the forum that this has occured to other people using regular scanners (not multfunction units), but the software suggested for the regular scanners would not apply to my unit.

Hi,

HP Scan is incompatible with Sierra.

Download and use HP Easy Scan instead, it can be downloaded from the link below:

Thanks ShlomiL! I thought the 'HP Easy Scan' app was incompatible with multifunction units, but it works perfectly fine! Great reply!

The HP Easy Scan does not work for me with a HP M277DW.  It says it is scanning but after it is finished the preview shows a blank page.  Scanning worked fine before upgrading to Mac OS Sierra.  The scan function works fine with Windows 10.

I got the same problem

As far as I know I followed all recommendations in various discussions. I did uninstall all HP software (including drivers) with HP Easy Start, I did reinstall the drivers using HP Easy Start. I maintained HP Easy Scan version 1.6.0 (94). I l used HP support (http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-color-laserjet-pro-mfp-m277-series/7089945/model/...( to look for the most recent driver but there wasn’t one for ‘Mac OS Mac OS X 10.12 (i.e. MacOs Sierra).

I tried the following alternatives after restarted my Mac:

• "SystemPreferences > Printers & scanners > HP Color LaserJet MFP M277dw" 
• using the Apple app “image capture”
• using ‘ReadIrisPro 14 for HP’ as recommended by HP Easy Start.
  (also the current version is version Iris Pro 16)

Anytime I could hear that my scanner was scanning, but I didn’t receive the result.

So, please, please help me to solve this problem or recommend me to buy another scanner.
