HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have massive problems installing the driver for an OfficeJet Pro 8710.

I use Win10 Enterprise, LTSC, Version 1809.

Whatever I do, it always ends with the error message "We're sorry, we don't support this browser".

I tried "exotic" browsers like "Google Chrome", "Microsoft Edge" and "Internet Explorer", but without success.

I also tried the following:

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once done, please download and install the software from here:

I also tried to install HP Smart app to complete setup and support

https://www.microsoft.com/store/apps/9wzdncrfhwlh

but the "Get" button does not do anything.

The printer used to work but it stopped working for no obvious reason.

I see the printer in my list of printers with the additional message "Driver not available".

I don't understand what installing the printer driver has to do with the type of browser I use.

A solution would be highly appreciated.

There is no problem downloading the files! Why does the installation procedure need to "download" something at the end of the whole installation process? I already downloaded approx. 100 Mbyte to install the driver! Which means, the data is already on my computer! The problem is, that the installation process cannot be completed! As I wrote, I tried it with Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer. With the first and the second I get the error message that the browsers are not supported, with the third I get a 404 error!

This is very frustrating!
