Cant use HP 4120e from PC

Got a wireless printer and set it up on home wifi. Used through android phone fine.

Went to set it up on my PC - downloaded HP Smart, printer added but not installed. Whenever I try to install it waits and then says there is an error and to try it through Windows.

Try going through Windows and it says error, try manufacturer instructions.

I have tried doing it with PC connected via ethernet cable to internet, tried it connected wirelessly using same wifi as printer, tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling, tried resetting printer connection and starting again.

Dont see why it wont install the printer and allow me to print etc from the PC.

I understand that you are unable to install the printer, I am glad to assist you.

Did you uninstall the printer from the root level?

If not, follow these steps:-

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer-related software.

• In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
• Select your HP printer.
• Select Uninstall.
• In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
• In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
• Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
• Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
• Click on Drivers tab.
• Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
• Select OK.
• Remove all instances of the same.
• Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
• Close Devices and Printers. 
• Restart the PC again.
