A technician in my company is trying to order a warranty part and is being rejected due to not being certified. It's my understanding he must obtain "2.0 HP A3 Mono and Color LaserJet Service Qualification" as per the "Service Qualification and Reimbursement Guide October 2023"
Can I please get confirmation that this is in fact what is required to order warranty parts for the LaserJet MFP E87660?
Thank you.

The E87660 printer is part of HP's MPS program and not all dealers carry this certification. If you are not an MPS certified shop then you will not even have access to this training. If you are certified, your technician would need to complete the A3 training which includes 3 days of in class instructor lead training if the tech has not previously attended that training.
This is a specialized product line that requires a dealer to offer options like cost per page and all in contracts.

I work for CompuCom Systems Inc which is an authorized service delivery partner. Equipped with your answer I will go back to the technician and let him know he will need to sign up for and complete the required training. Thank you.
