Hi,
I very rarely use the Automatic Document Feeder and almost every time is start HPScan is comes up with the ADF selected. How do I reset the defaults so that Flatbed Glass will come up selected. I don't get why it keeps trying to scan from the feeder when I pretty much only use the flatbed.

You really thought I didn't exhaust ALL my basic options before posting here?
Of course I tried that already. I did ALL the basic, normal things before coming here. And nothing has worked. 50% of the time I hit scan on my printer, it tries to scan from the feeder for no reason. And then I have to open the app to scan instead.
So, if someone can offer a solution beyond the obvious ones I would have clearly and obviously already tried, that would be helpful.

Thank you for posting back.
Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:
Root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers:
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Photosmart printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
- Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
- Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
- Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer-related folders & files.
To reinstall, click here.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
