@Rockportave,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

For the HP LaserJet Pro M148dw, changing the language from Chinese to English can be done from the printer's control panel. Here’s how:

Method 1: Using the Printer’s Control Panel:

  1. Turn on the printer and ensure it's in a ready state.
  2. Access the Setup Menu:
    • On the home screen, locate the Setup (wrench icon) and press it.
    • If the menu is in Chinese, look for an icon resembling a wrench or gear.
  3. Navigate to Language Settings:
    • Scroll through the menu options until you find a setting related to Language: NonSequitur777_0-1739513342047.png
    • And select it.
  4. Select English: NonSequitur777_0-1739513077299.png
  5. From the list and confirm.
  6. Restart the printer to apply the changes.

Method 2: Using the Embedded Web Server (EWS):

If you cannot navigate the control panel, you can change the language using the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  1. Find the printer’s IP address (printed on a configuration page or found in the printer's settings menu).
  2. Open a web browser on a computer connected to the same network.
  3. Enter the printer’s IP address in the address bar and press Enter.
  4. In the EWS, look for Settings > System > Language and select English.
  5. Save the changes and restart the printer if necessary.

Would you like or need any additional troubleshooting steps?

Kind Regards,
