When I print A4 documents part of the header and footer are cut off ( approximately 2 cm) when I print the documents. I tried setting all margins in MS Word to zero but these do not influence the cutoff part in any way. So it seems the printable area is controlled by the printer. When I choose another printer I can  print the hader and footer correctly. I never had these problems in the past and seems to have started after an update a few months ago. As the printer is also able to print A3 I do not see any technical reason why I shouldn't be able to print closer to the edge of the A4 paper. Is there any way you can influence the print area?

I finally solved the issue by resetting the printer to the factory defaults. Now I am able to print borderless  again.

@Nl74, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

According to the printer specifications, this model printer can print borderless.

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Are you using the HP Smart app?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
