Change printer name for HP Smart app

I own 2 identical printers, in different locations.  How can I change the names seen in the HP Smart app so I can differentiate them?  I know how to do this on a laptop, but cannot figure out how to change names on an iphone or ipad.

Welcome to the HP User Community.

Try this:

Open HP Smart Mobile app

Click on the green check next to the printer icon you want to rename

Opens Settings

In section Options, find "Rename My Printer"

Thank you for your excellent instructions, but when I press on the green check mark, the menu that pops up does not have “Options”, then “rename printer.”  I can find a place for Printer name in the Printer Information, but it will not allow me to change it. 
I was able to make a name change as I Added the second printer to the App.  I had not actually added the second one yet.

I won't be able to direct you further.

At this writing, using:  iPad Pro 12.9  5th - running iPadOS V15.5

I suspect that true iOS is simply different - I have no way to check (unfortunate Android phone).
